Komar University of Science and Technology launches Hêvîlane

On November 8^th, 2023 Komar University’s Department of Pharmacy held Hêvîlane event for the second time, a breast cancer awareness campaign. This campaign is launched by Dr. Nashmil Abullah, coordinator of the Department of Pharmacy, along with a group of students from Komar University of Science and Technology. Hêvîlane is a handmade product sponsored by Komar University of Science and Technology. It is a keychain medal consisting of different-sized beads representing the different sizes of breast cancer tumors. The organizers presented visitors with up-to-date data on the current situation of breast cancer in the Kurdistan Region. The goal of this campaign is to spread awareness of this condition and also encourage women, particularly, to do regular mammography to detect tumors in their early stages.
